Ministries

We are a small church with a BIG HEART for people and for serving God. We at First Baptist Church of Westland consider you to be very important! There are many opportunities to get involved in the fellowship and service of our church:

Sunday School classes for all ages.
Mid-Week Bible Studies and classes for all ages starting at 4 years old.
World-Wide Faith Promise Missions
An Exciting Student & Children's Department that utilizes the KJV SPLAT program for all children up to 6th grade.
Youth Group that is focused on training young men and young ladies to meet the world with an outspoken faith in Jesus Christ.
Release Time Bible Class, a program in which participating public elementary schools in the local area release children to the church during school hours for Bible class. Transportation is provided by the church. Currently our church participates with the following Garden City and Westland schools--Farmington, Memorial, Douglas, Marshall, and Wildwood.
Monthly get-together activities, and MUCH MORE!
We are very excited about our bus ministry. We pick people up for Sunday morning services as well as Wednesday night Bible Classes. Please call the church if you would like to ride the bus. 734 721-8195

Community Outreach

It is our desire not only to "come" to church for worship, fellowship, and Bible study, but to go out into our community and proclaim the name of Jesus Christ, both as a church body and individually. There are always new opportunities arising, and anyone is invited to come and be a part (you do not have to be a member).
