Our Purpose:

At First Baptist Church of Westland, our mission is clear: to share the Gospel with those in our community and beyond. We believe that our primary focus is to share the love of Jesus Christ, train disciples, and serve both our Lord and others. Through a variety of services, outreach programs, and missionary efforts, we dedicate ourselves to fulfilling this call.

We are passionate about introducing our community to the message of hope and salvation found in Jesus Christ. We believe we are to be a light to our community. Our worship services provide an inviting atmosphere where individuals can come to experience the transformative power of the Gospel. We also offer various classes aimed at deepening our understanding of Scripture and its application in our lives. Our commitment is preach the Gospel that lives can be changed for the Glory of God.

Serving the Lord with your heart is a beautiful and transformative journey that goes beyond mere obligation; it is an act of love, devotion, and commitment. When we serve with our hearts, we engage with the world around us in a manner that reflects our faith. Heartfelt service begins by recognizing the divine call on our lives. Each individual is endowed with unique talents, interests, and passions—gifts that can be utilized to serve others and glorify God. When we serve the Lord with our hearts, we do so by recognizing that our contributions—no matter how small—can make a meaningful difference in our church and the lives of others.

Sharing Jesus:

Discipleship is a lifelong journey. We are dedicated to equipping our members with the tools and knowledge they need to grow in their faith. This includes teaching the fundamentals of Christian living, encouraging regular church attendance, daily prayer and Bible study, and providing opportunities for spiritual growth through small groups and mentorship programs. By fostering a community of believers who lift each other up and hold one another accountable, we aim to raise strong disciples who embody the teachings of Jesus.

We believe that our mission extends beyond the walls of our church and our community. First Baptist Church of Westland actively supports missions both locally and internationally. By sending missionaries to different regions, we collaborate with partners who are also committed to spreading the Gospel. Our missionaries work tirelessly, not only to share the message of Christ but to also meet the practical needs of people in various contexts, embodying the comprehensive love of Jesus.
